OMFIF’s Digital Money Summit (DMS) will take place again in London, May 19-20. For the past three years, the conference has been a must-attend event for me. This is because it offers attendees a rare opportunity to hear a variety of perspectives from Central Bankers, Fintechs, Analyst and Industry experts, not just commercials from software or technology vendors.
The Digital Money Summit conference brings together over 200 experts across government, central banking, financial services and technology. The conference takes place in the fintech hub of London with representation from over 50 central banks from around the world. I attended the conference in 2025. I found it invaluable from both a networking and education perspective.
This is a must attend conference for anyone looking to stay abreast of regulatory developments, new technologies and best practices for Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDCs), Stablecoins and Tokens. One of the conference highlights is alway hearing from experts about their current projects and pilots in the digital currency space.
Following are a few of the current agenda highlights:
- The unified ledger: A ‘quantum leap’ for cross-border payments
- CBDCs – Does the payments industry need a new competitor?
- Where do digital identities fit into digital public infrastructure?
- Tokenisation and the future of digital financial market infrastructure
- The impact of geopolitics and new technologies on monetary practices
- The regulation of digital currency
